Vanessa Paradis was snapped as she arrived at the Chanel Ready to Wear show as part of the Paris Womenswear Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011 at the Grand Palais in Paris, France. Vanessa has reportedly been named the new face of Chanel Coco Cocoon handbags.
It seems Karl Lagerfeld just can’t get enough of Vanessa Paradis — the triple threat French model who is also Johnny Depp’s longtime girlfriend and baby mama.Now Karl Lagerfeld is replacing Lily Allen with the famously gap-toothed Paradis to represent the Spring 2010 collection of those plush, Michelin Man-like Coco Cocoon bags.
The new Cocoon ads will be 37-year-old Paradis’ fifth starring role for Chanel.In 1992,she whistled and displayed her skills as an acrobat,lending her youthful grace and already exceptional personality to the Coco fragrance.In 2003,in front of Karl Lagerfeld’s camera,the young woman became the muse of the Cambon handbags.In 2010,her modern elegance,boldness of character and power of emotion will unite with a range of lipsticks with an evocative name:Rouge COCO de CHANEL.And this special relationship thus continues,with consistency and modernity.
As for the Coco Cocoon ads — which we’re secretly hoping feature this cocoon-like hairstyle from Chanel’s Spring 2010 couture runway — they’ll be out this May.
